Refund Policy

We want you to love Beautiful African. If something isn't right, we're here to make it right.

Return window

You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to request a return.

What's returnable

Because our products are personal care goods, returns are accepted only on items that are unused, unopened, and in their original packaging with the seal intact. Once a product has been opened or used, we are unable to accept it for return — for hygiene reasons, this is industry standard for cosmetics and beauty.

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We'll replace it or refund you in full at no cost — including return shipping.

How to start a return

Email us at support@beautifulafrican.com with your order number and the reason for your return. We'll respond within 2 business days with next steps. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Return shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returns sent without tracking.

For international returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable customs or duties.

For items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect, return shipping is on us — we'll provide a prepaid label.

Refunds

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you whether the refund has been approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take up to 15 business days total to appear in your account.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you still don't see it, contact us at support@beautifulafrican.com.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the product you want is to return the original item (if eligible) and place a new order for the replacement.

Non-returnable items

We cannot accept returns on:

  • Used, opened, or unsealed products (hygiene)
  • Final sale items
  • Gift cards

EU 14-day cooling-off period

If your order is shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive. The product must be returned in the same condition you received it. Standard return shipping costs apply unless the item is defective.
